I have a long history with the Treasure island. I won't go into the
specifics, but many of us were lured over from the Mirage when it
first opened. It became one of my faovotite casinos - not too big,
not too small, fairly good restaurants (anyone remember the Buc Bay
Club, the Plank or the Black Spot Grille?) and friendly service.
But the last few years have not been kind to what is now known as TI.
An infusion of clubs that can't compete with other Vegas hot spots.
Standard rooms. Corporate dictated declines in service.
And now this: the elimination of decent video poker options for the
average player.
For awhile, I had wondered if MGM-Mirage just didn't have a clue on
how to handle or what to do with the Treasure Island.
And now I'm convinced they absolutely don't.
