I don't think the "must be used within year of ticket purchase date" pertains to miles returned to one's account after a flight is canceled.  So, it's almost like a fully refundable fare.

Russians are far and away the best gamblers in the world, even better than the Chinese. Dancer should get one of the Russians on his radio show. Also I'm curious if Nersesian has an opinion as to whether or not they are "cheating" by using their smart phones and timing when they hit the deal button. Does security have the right to search someones smart phone for "illegal" apps just because that person happens to be winning or looks suspicious?
