Well, if the author can sell about 400 books a day and doesn't play those percentages very long each day (or at all), he might have a chance to make a thousand dollars a day :)  Or he can get lucky and "do" the book title for a single day once in a while.
Clearly fiction :) :)

This is an eBook I found at Amazon. The author's name is Advantage Player. It's a fictional tale written by this so called advantage player. The book is a monument calling oneself an advantage player and being one is two different stories. The author is technically correct about payback percentages. Bob Dancer's name is even mentioned. But the rest is total garbage. The hero plays games in the 94 to 98% range. Does not use a card in most places. And there is nothing about working promotions. But this hero makes a lot of money playing video poker. I only squandered $3 on the book.

I am not an expert in this, but I do know of a case where an individual had substantial income from the sale of stock. Two residences were maintained, one in California (where the individual resided up until he purchased a home in Nevada). Obviously California wanted the tax on the stock sale. They wanted proof of the individual living in the Nevada home, so he had to produce things such as utility bills verifying this fact.
So I suspect for state purposes, you can only be a resident of one state, and you need support to document this if here is ever a question.

We have homes in 3 states, two in no state income tax states (Florida and Las Vegas). Before retirement, my job was in the 3rd high state income tax state. We now travel most of the year and intend to sell in the next few years our current home residence. So anyone have any good Las Vegas area tax advisors to assist us changing our state residence now since we already spend less than 6 months in the income tax state? You can private email or post here if you know of any good multi-state, Nevada residence tax experts.
