I had a strange experience with online recently.
 
I play 'people poker' on Ultimate Bet for micro stakes.
 
I had the bug to play VP something fierce, and they have it.
There is a strange bug in their software and it will redraw
your cards automatically once in a while.
 
I had it happen to me three hands in a row while I
watched in amazement when I could not hit the
hold button and decide if I want to draw or not.
 
This happened in two sessions.
 
I emailed UB and they gave me a lot of hooey how
I forgot what cards I had and it was just normal
game play.
 
So, I asked them to go look up the hands that
I 'threw away'.
 
They realized it was true and the hands would
never have been played that way by anyone.
 
So they blamed it on me clicking the wrong
button, even after they saw a three of a kind
and a big pair get folded and all five cards redrawn.
 
Needless to say, I won't play any VP there again!

Yes, I did coin that phrase, back in the beginning days of Skip's VP forum,
when there were just a few of us and it was more like family and we
discussed more personal subjects. I don't remember using it in any of my
books - but then I can't remember what I had for dinner last night.

I haven't used the phrase "in public," I guess, for a number of years.
However that doesn't mean I don't still consider it a very important
casino-hotel activity, one with a definitely positive EV!
