UNLV Professor Anthony Lucas did a study of identical slots, but one had a 95% payout, the other 90% to see if players would be able to tell the difference and migrate to the 95% slot. The answer was no. By statute, odds of lottery chances must be disclosed. Why is it that payback on slot machines does not need to be disclosed? Seems like the gaming commission should address this.

My play has been at Boulder.  Have just about stopped going to Palms, they were always messed up it seemed.

I also have not been able to get some Stations multipliers greater than 3x even though everything looks fine when I swipe for the multipliers in the kiosks. This has happened every time this month at the Palms and sometimes at Red Rock also. No problems at Texas Station. I have notified the Palms players club about this and gotten the extra points in a day or two.

Possibly related to this problem - According to my mailer, Palms is not having any Feb. multipliers or even participating in any of the promotions that the other Station casinos have in Feb. You can see this on their corporate Gaming Promotions page -

For 3 weeks on Senior day I swipe before playing at stations. Get 5x for video poker, and after playing check points of only the std. 3x shows up. People at the booth go thru their motions and say they've fixed it. First off I'm tired and having to check and ask every week, but even after asking and being told its been adjusted 2 of the 3 times the points just stay at 3x. Either the system is just messed up, or its an easy way to reduce the points being rewarded. My wife's 10x slots has been recording correctly.

Which property?  I had noticed this at Palms too. but I just figured this was due to everything at Palms being "messed up."
