I recommend that new vp players read the book Video Poker for the Intelligent Beginner by Bob Dancer. It should answer all your questions.

The Wizard of Odds website has a lot of video poker information. You can analyze paytables and generate strategies there.
Frank Kneeland's book The Secret World Of Video Poker Progressives is very interesting.

Hi everyone! I have been studying FPDW for the past year and playing 5c 1 hand. I do most of my playing at station casinos. I have a two questions:
Where are the best places to play low stakes video poker near summerlin?
Where can I get information/tools for progressive video poker hunting?

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any tips for beginners starting out to become serious video poker players?

I use the zamrow for iPhone and it is great. My husband uses the one optimized for the iPad. What features do you want?

Buy and read "Frugal Video Poker," available at http://queenofcomps.com/ I have nothing to gain from any purchase and am making this suggestion in response to the question: "Do you have any tips for beginners starting out to become serious video poker players?"

Any advice video poker software currently available would be appreciated. I look at Dan Paymar's site, but couldn't find a purchase button! I see Bob Dancer's software is still available, any good? I thought Jean Scott had software.

For FPDW your best bet is Stations. You should go to vpfree2.com. It contains a complete list of all the best VP games in Las Vegas and other gambling locations. It is an invaluable tool.
It shows that there are $.05, $.10 and $.25 FPDW at the Fiesta and $.25 FPDW at Texas.
As to the low stakes progressives, its pretty much search and find on you own. At he higher stakes, there are networks where players share information.
