Re: [vpFREE] Re: No more Stations rollover credits....

VP free only lists 15 casinos in all Las Vegas that have positive versions
of 10/6 ddb. Most of these are at Stations Casinos that currently give few
benefits for playing ( $4 is 1 point ).

It's true that 9/6 DDB is indeed still considered full pay, even tho the
10/6 version has been around for a while now, and (in LAS anyway) is only
about 30% harder to find than its 9/6 cousin. (VPfree2 lists 68 Vegas
locations where you can find 9/6, 48 where 10/6 is available.)

$600 dining credit. You must have a good history of play there. May I presume based upon my recent walk through and the VPFree 2 database, that you are a $5 Vp player ?

This is fun! What exactly is it ?

[vpFREE] Megabus to Reno & LV

Megabus is a low-cost bus. They started service recently in California. Some promotions are as low as $1. Recently held a party in LV & couple attendees came from LA using Megabus -- $8 roundtrip! Search online for schedules. Only bad thing is I can't use it because I'm not near any terminals.

[vpFREE] Re: 388/389 Casinos in N San Diego County

Have only been to Valley View & Rincon but between the two would say VV is better for low stakes. Recently used the 388 to go from VV to Rincon.

NOTE:
388 bus service is MON - SUN from 5:03 am - 9:11 pm counter-clockwise
389 bus service is MON - SUN from 6:03 am - 10:15 pm clockwise
IT'S ABOUT 2 HRS BETWEEN PICKUPS, so plan carefully. Think it's $1.25 or $5 for a day pass.

Note, figuring in value of the slot club definitely OK. Thanks

[vpFREE] Re: Posting of the LVA Question of the Day

I'm so sorry to hear that. I really do enjoy the QOD and would never go to the LVA to view it even though I am a member. I know it has been a real job for you to do that and I really appreciate the work you do.

[vpFREE] Posting of the LVA Question of the Day

I will no longer be posting the LVA Question of the Day here
every day, since very few of them are video poker related.

But you can go to the LVA website to read each day's QoD:

http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/qod.cfm

Or use the subscribe link there to have them emailed to you
every day.

As always, unless you are a paid LVA subscriber, you can
only see the answer to the current day's QoD.

[vpFREE] LVA Question of the Day - 31 DEC 2012

LVA Question of the Day - 31 DEC 2012

Q: I could swear that the sign under the hand of faith at
the Golden Nugget says that the item on display is a replica
of the actual nugget but have found many references on line
that state that the actual nugget is on display in the
casino. Could you verify those claims?

Read the answer here:

Go here then scroll down and click on "Benefits by Card":

I can tell you from personal experience that the Chairman/Presidents card is a line pass that will save you a lot of time otherwise spent waiting in line some days at the Red Rock Buffet. And 50% off is nice too.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: No more Stations rollover credits....

I saw 10/6 DDB at Harrah's Council Bluff's in Iowa a few months ago. It was in the data base. But I was there visiting friend's. I wouldn't advise going there unless you have a real good reason.

9/6 DDB is by defintion full pay. It's not a positive game by any means but it is the best variant of the game that can be found in any quantity.

Just games over 100% E.V. but not all FP machines as plenty of 99.5%+ E.V. paytables. Nowadays, lot's of gamblers call 9/6 DDB full pay.

>

At Valley View I think the best a 25c player can do in non-smoking is play one line of the 100 Play, and then the best choice is 9/6 DDB.

But wander outside non-smoking and the 25c VV player has far more options than Pala. On any of the many scattered Spin Poker simply choose "Play 1 Line" and you get your pick of 9/6 Jacks, 8/5 Bonus, 9/7 DB, 9/6 DDB, 9/7 TDB and NSUD.

I also feel that Valley View's mailer is far superior to Pala. It always includes a daily promotion that gives you a little something, a coupon for $$ off food (or free buffets which are well worth it), some weekly More Play and other small perks.

And by the way, for those California players sensitive to smoke, avoid the Spa Casino in Palm Springs which I feel has the worst air quality of any casino in the state. Even the waitresses way back at the far corner of the buffet complain.
